Why do I take a "before" picture when someone shows up for a glamour shoot? The answer is simple. When people see the "after" shots they find them beautiful, but they don't think they can relate to the women in the pictures. But, of course, that's not true.
I take a "before" picture to let people see that the women that I photograph are just like them. They are teachers, students, nurses, business owners, lawyers, moms. They come from all walks of life.
A lot of times they show up not truly believing that they, too, can be as beautiful as the other women I photograph. I am proud to say they they are usually pleasantly surprised.
