Making Wishes Come True

I love the Make A Wish foundation! For those of you who aren't familiar with this organization, they grant wishes to critically ill children. It can be anything from a trip to Disney World, to becoming a fireman for a day. They spread joy and magic to kids who have had a tough break in life, and the magic usually starts with a visit to the castle. No, that is not Disney World's castle in the picture, but the home offices of Make A Wish New Jersey located in Monroe Township. What kid wouldn't feel special coming here to declare their wish.

Granting wishes costs money, so recently Make a Wish NJ had their annual Walk and Roll fundraiser. Cloudy skies didn't stop the wonderful spirit and energy of the nearly 800 people who participated.

Of course there were wish kids and their families, but there were also Girl Scouts...

... and there were cheerleaders, and the basketball players from the Harlem Wizards...

... and even Cinderella came for a visit.

It was an awesome day that I am so glad I got to be a part of, and the best part is the money raised will help to make a lot of kid's wishes come true.
